Mid-term marks are in just as the school had promised many moons, and a few suns, ago! Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with most of my marks, scoring in the top end of all of my classes! Of course, I felt a searing hatred towards my stupid Religion class, but 9 / 10 doctors tell me it is completely natural. So, here it is.
Stu’s Grade Ten Midterm Midtacular!
Religion – 83
Communications – 89
Math – 94
English – 89
Average – 89
It’s looking good so far. If I can keep up my marks, as well as inch religion towards the ninety mark I will be able to surpass a ninety percent average in grade ten!
But for now: Wootsocks! Awesome marks!

That's great!
Religion is really hard to score particularly well in - most of the teachers are completely brain-dead.
I remember when I submitted my christian service report; I listed something like 100 hours of volunteer work that year (which I had all substantiated with signatures and the like). Sure enough, on my report card, it showed that my religion teacher had just written down that I had done 10 hours.
I figure it's the same thing with marks... they don't really assess things, they just put down marks from 90 to 60, depending on how good a student you seem to be, making everyone average out to somewhere in the low 80s to the mid 70s.
At least you did extremely well in all the real subjects.
Plus, if someone DIDN'T feel some searing rage about religion, I'd be worried about them.

Now that you bring it up, I think feeling searing rage towards something is a very big part of many religions.
Will I get extra marks for that?
